- The Chicago Flexible Shaft Co. was incorporated in 1897 and introduced Sunbeam electrically powered products in 1921. It introduced the Sunbeam Shavemaster Model S in 1946, and changed the name of its home appliances division to Sunbeam. Inscriptions on this electric razor read “Sunbeam / SHAVEMASTER / S” and “AD MODEL / 115-V A-C / 60 CYCLES/ 6 WATTS.”
