- Description
- Vertical format. At left, part of a ceiling showing four panels with sixteen sides, a panel shaped like an equal cross, and four halves and four quarters. The cross is decorated with a blossom rosette at center and four palmettes. Two rosettes are suggested for the other panels with four different colorings of the background. Various designs for leaf stems; garlands are suggested for the bands representing the panels. Top right: a band with an acanthus rinceau between two strips. Bottom right: an octagonal coffer with a rosette. Eight designs are shown for the framing band. Half of the designs have different colorings. Rosettes are suggested in the panels and shaped like eight-pointed stars between the octagonals.
