- Description
- Vertical rectangle. At bottom, a base with two kneeling angels supporting a cloth, on top of which stands a second base, on which seated griffons holding garlands support the shaft; between them the coat of arms of Pope Pius VII (1800-1823). The shaft consists of two pieces of fluted and foliated columns with a caryatid. Wings are slightly sketched in graphite at the caryatid's shoulders; a garland is wound around her above the socket with the candle.
