- This small notebook was used during extra-vehicular activities conducted during the Skylab 3 mission in 1973. It contains instructions for the operation of the astronaut maneuvering unit during the M509 experiment.
- The booklet was designed to fit into an attachment band fastened in place on the astronaut's arm with a velcro closure. The spiral bound nature enabled the pages to be turned while wearing spacesuit gloves and remain in place while operating the maneuvering unit.
