- Description
- Landscape sketch showing a view of a brilliantly vibrant sunset over the lush mountains of Jamaica. In the foreground, a round, wooded hill at right gives way to overlapping ridges in the middle distance at left. Above, a billowing prominence in a dense, low-lying cloud bank is cleaved in half by the sun's bright, golden-orange light. The orb of the sun itself is visible at center, as it colors both distant and nearby clouds in vivid hues of red, pink, orange, and yellow. In the background, the evening sky is rendered as a gradient from blue to yellow-green.
