- Horizontal view of a figure of a man with a scythe under his left arm in the foreground and a thinly-painted grouping of two men, with rake, pitchfork, and child in right background, all walking across a sloping meadow at dusk. Grouping of large trees at left middleground, between the foreground meadow and wheat field, which leads to a blue range of hills in the background and a pale afterglow in the sky.
