- This dark blue jacket was worn by Robert Keeshan as the titular character in the television show, Captain Kangaroo.
- Captain Kangaroo premiered in 1955 and ran until 1984, making it the longest-running network television children’s show and winner of both Emmy and Peabody awards. Robert Keeshan played the lead role and Hugh Brannum played his pal, Mr. Green Jeans. After 1984, Keeshan brought the show to PBS where it ran until 1992.
