- These objects were collected by Brooklyn high school teacher and historian of mathematics L. Leland Locke. The metal rings come in three sizes. Seventeen are .5 cm. in diameter (one of these has been cut), six are .8 cm. in diameter, and four are 1.3 cm. in diameter.
