- Description
- Brisé fan. Ivory sticks painted in oil and finished with Vernis Martin. Obverse: divided into leaf and gorge area, the former decorated with a central cartouche containing an outdoor scene with figures in 18th century dress. The gorge contains a miniature of a lady srrouned by medallions and motifs of Chinese inspiration. Reverse: a harvest scene. Tortoise shell guards. Silk ribbon. Rivet is set with a faceted ruby colored stone.
