This flute was made by Carl Schreiber in Markneukirchen, Germany, 1920s. It is a Boehm System flute, serial #1621, made of stained rosewood with silver ferrules and keys and features a winged head joint made of silver. This flute is stamped:

1621Carl August Schreiber (1871-1931) was a German woodwind maker whose company flourished from 1898 into the early 20th century. His flutes were sold in the United States exclusively by Lyon & Healy in Chicago, Illinois.
