- Description
- Landscape sketch showing a view of a steep valley in the Blue Mountains of Jamaica. In the foreground at right, a dirt path curves around a rocky berm with low-lying vegetation. One small but prominent tree bends to the right beside the path at center. In the middle distance, the steep, lush mountainsides of the valley's opposite slope descend to the right and overlap one another as they extend into the hazy distance. In the background, taller, rugged peaks loom over the landscape and become faded due to atmospheric perspective. Above, the sun's luminous glow shines down through a thin cloud in an otherwise open sky.
