Description
An inscription on the lid of the wooden box reads “Black Leg Vaccine / PASTEUR VACCINE CO. / CHICAGO.” The Pasteur Vaccine Co., of Chicago, was in business by 1897. Blackleg is an infectious, non-contagious disease that affects cows and sheep.
