- Description
- The “Flex-grip” inscription on this red vinyl bicycle handlebar grip was introduced and trademarked by the Hungerford Plastics Corp. in 1949. Daniel C. Hungerford organized this firm as a research and development company in New Jersey, in 1942. After a reorganization in 1946, the Hungerford Plastics Corp. built a factory in New Jersey and began manufacturing vinyl products.
