- Batman issue No. 30 was published by DC Comics in August and September 1945 and sold for ten cents. The cover art by Dick Sprang depicts Batman and Robin in the jungle handing an American GI a new gun. Batman says “Here’s a new gun form the folks back home, soldier!” and Robin responds, “YEP! The folks that’re backing the 7th war loan!” During World War II, popular culture often encouraged participation in the war effort, especially through purchasing war bonds. Golden Age comics would often use the Axis leaders as antagonists for patriotic heroes such as Captain America or Spy Smasher.
- This issue contains the stories "Back to the Big House," "While the City Sleeps," "Alias the Baron," and "Ally Babble and the Fourteen Peeves."
- Batman made his comic debut in 1939 in Detective Comics No. 27 before receiving his own self-titled line of books in 1942.
