- Summary
- This is a stand for a 1:72 scale model of the Falcon 9 rocket. Made by Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX), founded in 2002, the Falcon 9 first flew in 2010. SpaceX won a NASA contract to carry humans and cargo to the International Space Station. A Dragon capsule launched by a Falcon 9 successfully carried supplies to the space station for the first time in June 2012. The rocket has not carried any humans to the space station yet.
- The manufacturer of the stand is unknown. Space X donated the stand and model to the museum in 2012.
