- This object is part of the Education and Outreach collection, some of which are in the Q?rius science education center and available to see.
- This is the shell of a Banded Tulip sea snail. The shell is salmon and cream in coloring with regularly spaced dark brown bands. It is approximately 11 cm long by 4.5 cm wide. Parts of a hermit crab have fallen out of the shell, which can be seen in the inner box. Hermit crabs often take up residence in empty gastropod (snial) shells.
