- Description
- Landscape sketch showing a view of a craggy, red rock mountain witnessed en route to Baalbek, Lebanon. Green treetops and other shrubs are visible in the foreground along the lower margin. The mountain itself dominates the composition in the middle distance at center. Made up of vivid red rock, the mountain has several dark fissures or veins running through it. Its craggy ridge creates a high, serrated horizon below a blue and open sky.
