- Description
- Landscape sketch showing an incomplete view of autumn foliage in the mountains of Vermont. The foreground is not rendered in paint--only an undulating graphite line at lower center suggests what kind of landform or rock might have been depicted. At center, a stand of vibrantly colored red, orange, and yellow deciduous trees serves as the focus of the scene. In the background, across a valley floor, a rolling and heavily wooded mountain range is shown beneath a largely overcast sky, save one patch of blue at upper center. Entire scene rendered in high level of detail.
