Arizona State College Pennant
Object Details

- Arizona State University
- Description (Brief)
- Pennant representing Arizona State College is dark blue with dark red lettering and the school seal. Red tassles at the end of the pennant. The school colors of Arizona State are now maroon and gold, while the University of Arizona's are red and blue. This is especially interesting as Arizona State has claimed gold as their prominent color since 1896. While early team athletic jersey's were black and white the school represented itself with gold and later maroon and white (1898). The University of Arizona on the other hand was originally sage green and silver but would change to navy and red when the equipment manageer in 1900 found new jerseys in those colors at a significant discount.
