- Ph017 is the accession number in the Russell E. Train inventory list of the Joseph F. Cullman 3rd Library of Natural History. Photograph is blind-stamped "Brittain's Studio Johnnesburg," inscribed on verso by Horn's editor: "Taken at my gate, September 1927, four months after the publication of 'Trader Horn. ' E(thelreda) L(ewis). " The photograph shows Horn as an old man with a full beard and cane.
