- Photographs from Hemingway's African safari, taken by Look magazine photographer Earl Theisen. Kenya, winter 1953-1954, including (a) portion of a contact sheet showing 5 images (each 3 x 3 in.) of Hemingway: 3 shots at fireside with his professional hunter, Philip Percival; one of Hemingway crouched behind a tree with a rifle; one of Ernest and Mary talking at dusk, Ernest having just removed his wet shirt; (b) 171 loose contact prints by Theisen showing various scenes and incidents from safari, several with Look magazine stamp on rear, each numbered, and several docketed "Hemingway."
