- Journal kept by Major A.W. Quilter of Nairobi, Kenya, describing his travels on safari and his game-hunting activities in East Africa. Quilter describes events that happened to him and other members of his party on safari, gives details on the animals he had shot (for instance, hippopotamus, elephants, lions, bongos, and impalas), and mentions some of the people he met on his travels, including Kermit Roosevelt.
