- This subseries contains papers, photographs, and memorabilia pertaining to Arthur Samuel Harrell (1916-1963), son of Charles H. Harrell and Mary Emma Bridgewater. He was born August 8, 1916. He married Mary Alice Trahan, daughter of Renard and Mabel Parker Trahan on August 2, 1947 in Port Arthur, Texas. The subseries contains correspondence, photographs, financial and legal documents, news clippings, and funeral memorabilia. This subseries also contains material related to Harrell's athletic activities and high school life as well as his university career. Material on his service in the United States Army is also found in this series. He died in Helena, Montana in 1963.
- Collection Restrictions
- The collection is open for research. Unrestricted research access on site by appointment. Unprotected photographs must be handled with gloves. Researchers must use reference copies of audio-visual materials. When no reference copy exists, the Archives Center staff will produce reference copies on an "as needed" basis, as resources allow.
