- Scope and Contents
- Notes from original housing: 1988 interview with early members Lori Keane and Lisa Leber, who served on the Herizon Board and were foundational energies for Herizon. Discussion includes lesbians and fashion, and (non-sync) Lisa reads part of a memoir by a Lesbian named Susan who was a local bar patron long before Herizon times. They discuss local bars where lesbians gathered before Herizon, including the Green Onion (which was destroyed by arson). Lori and Lisa also talk about an incident which triggered the creation of alternative social spaces, and ultimately Herizon, as Lori says, "We were tired of being treated like shit..." Conducted June 26, 1988. Appearances by Lori Keane, Lisa H. Leber, Del Brown, Elaine Knapp, Pat DiLorenzo, Eve Anderson, Linda M. Head, Judy Salton, MaryRose "M.R." Doud-Griffin.
