- Scope and Contents note
- The materials in the subseries subjects are black and white photographs, and the subjects are arranged alphabetically. The materials document subjects that are both non-human objects and unidentified people that could not be connected to an order placed at the Scurlock Studio by a client. The non-human subjects largely inlcude art, commercial images, buildings, and places of interest in Washington, D. C. The unidentified individuals are mostly portrait sittings of men and women that could not be identified or connected to an order. Also, included are photographs of children, couples, groups, events, and organizations. In addition, not all photographs in this subseries were taken by the Scurlock Studio; there are photos by Abdon Daoud Ackad and other studios or photographers that were sent in to make copies.
