- Scope and Contents
- This series contains material published by Frick Company, including advertising and trade publications as well as three narrative histories of the company and its founder, George Frick. One published in 1928 and reprinted in 1944, was published in 1953, and a third unpublished narrative based largely on the 1953 publication. The trade publications include catalogues, product pamphlets, flyers, and price lists of parts, engines and machinery, the bulk of which describes material produced from 1874 into the 1920s, with a few publications dating into the 1930s-1960s. The advertising material includes trade cards and other complimentary items, as well as a few posters and newspaper advertisements, including a photo-negative print of George Frick's announcement of his shop opening in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania in 1852.
