- The map shows the buildings, streets, and features of Mount Kōya and the nearby countryside. The map is oriented with North to the left. The date and printer's name are taken from the legend which reads "Empō ku kano-to tgori shōgatsu kitsujitsu hanjo Hayashi [no uji] Yoshinaga" (Printed by Hayashi Yoshinaga on an auspicious day of the first month of the year of the cock).
