- The map includes topographical features, the port city lay-out, with emphasis on the harbour view of the battle ships in the bay and the Navy yard. Identified are those public buildings particularly associated with ship building and iron foundries. Insets include: 1) a text containing the history of Yokosuka and, especially its history after 1871 as a naval port; and 2) a list of villages, cities, and scenic places with distances from Yokosuka.
