- INV 08742603. Inscription at bottom reads: "Captured seven horse from the Pani [i.e. Pawnee] Indians in 1839, was wounded in the leg and had his horse shot." Graphite and colored pencil. Candace Green noted that the artist of the human figure is most likely Red Dog, while the artist of the horse is the anonymous Lakota artist responsible for inventory numbers 08742602 and 08742604-08742609.
