- This sub-series contains Smith's non field and laboratory research and consists of reading notes, data from other sources, notes on early botanists and gardens, issues of Bulletin of the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, and illustrations of botanical specimens from Encyclopédie méthodique and Transactions of the Linnean Society.
