- Most of the photographs relate to Harrington's field work and show Indians of California, the Southwest, Northwest Coast, and Alaska. There are also a number of Kiowa photographs, many of them taken by James Mooney but annotated by Harrington. In addition, there are photographs of Burton Mound in California, and photographs of Harrington and his associates.
