Scope and Contents: Maseru, King and Queen at Pitso, 1947. Photographic image of King George VI, in a white uniform, putting a medal on a native African who is also wearing a dark uniform. They are standing on a covered stage with his wife, Queen Elizabeth, his daughters, Elizabeth and Margaret, and other people standing behind the king. This is during the royal visit to Lesotho.
