- Original title reads, "Operation performed at Lagos General Hospital. The surgeon is Dr. Adeiloyejo Majekodunmi, 42, senior gynecological consultant for Lagos General Hospital. He studied medicine at Trinity College, Dublin, graduating in 1941. Dr. Majekodunmi is transplanting a woman's patient because of a childbirth injury. Some of the nurses are student nurses. Opposite the surgeon is Dr. Abimbola Awoliyi, who graduated in 1946 from the Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, and was the first woman doctor from Nigeria. The anaesthetist is Dr. Mohamed Aziz, from India." [Elisofon field notes, August 1959-December 1959]
