- CDR copy FW-ASCH-7RR-4053 is a concert/workshop (workshop no. 4), featuring Appalachian folksinger and dulcimer player, Jean Ritchie, recorded 6/29,1962. She doesn't perform, but discusses four folksingers she recorded, and plays the recordings she made of them. Two of the persons whose taped performances she plays are fiddler Clarence Farrell, of Alpine, TN and Ivy Scott, of the North Carolina Outer Banks. When Jean Ritchie was in Scotland, she recorded two singers whose songs she plays, namely, Elizabeth White and Ella Ward, both of Scotland. She also discusses Jeannie Robertson, Scottish folksinger whom she claims she (Jean) was the first to record.
