- Scope and Contents
- Margaret Christensen talks about growing up in Ghana and the new government which overthrew Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. She explains Dr. Kwame Nkrumah had a plan known as African socialism; and he created hospitals, schools, and social welfare. She talks about the cost of housing and utilities; and factories and manufacturing opportunities in Ghana under Nkrumah's rule. Christensen explains the new government devalued money, so everything is expensive and they need to stand in line for milk and other goods.
