- The Downtown Gallery records are owned by the Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution. - Found here is material relating to ABCs for Collectors of American Contemporary Art, which Halpert comissioned to distribute to amateur collectors who patronized her gallery. Records include drafts of the manuscript, illustration choices, a mock-up, a published pamphlet, reviews, and orders. Records relating to American Folk Art include short pieces, some possibly catalog entries, arranged alphabetically by title. Material relating to the American National Exhibition in Moscow includes a printed catalog of the Whitney Museum of American Art show drawn from that exhibition, entitled Paintings and Sculpture from the American National Exhibition in Moscow; research notes including an English-language translation of the catalog; press releases; notes; and background information. Miscellaneous records include reports, essays, texts of speeches, transcripts of brief published articles, and fragments of unidentified items.
