- Commission files concern specific mural commissions of Daniel Putnam Brinley and may contain correspondence, specifications, lists, contracts, financial agreements and receipts, notes, publicity and clippings, plans, sketches, and photographs of the finished murals. Two commissions for which extensive documentation can be found are the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company murals in New York and the Liberty War Memorial in Kansas City Missouri.
