Arabian Style Egg Shampoo Cream
Object Details
- Description
- This unusual bottle of Arabian Style Egg Shampoo Cream came to the Museum from the Georgetown Pharmacy of Washington, D.C., after the pharmacy closed in 1988. Promoted in advertisements as a "beautifier and grower," this product appears to have been available from about 1895 to 1920. In 1913 it was advertised for 18 cents at a Washington Rexall drugstore. Protein and other nutrients found in eggs are thought to enhance hair’s health.
