- Landscape sketch looking southwest down the American Falls of the Niagara River, from a vantage known as Prospect Point. The zig-zagging edge of the falls curves from the foreground to the middle distance at left as sheets of water cascade over it. At center, Goat Island and its wooded contour are visible, while beyond it at right, the Terrapin Tower and a portion of Horseshoe Falls are included.
