This clarinet was made by Henri Farney & Cie. in Paris , France around 1925 to 1927. It is an Albert System clarinet in B-flat, made of granadilla with nickel silver ferrules and keys. This clarinet is stamped:

MODELE SUPERIEURHenry Farny instruments were manufactured in France and sold by the Wurlitzer Company. This clarient was previously used by American jazz clarinetist, Barney Bigard (1906-1980) when he joined the Duke Ellington Orchestra in 1927.
