Jackal-headed lid, mismatch between inscription and lid figure.
From NMNH Exhibit Hall "Eternal Life in Ancient Egypt" label for this artifact, 2011: Canopic jar, ca. 664-525 BC. Container held mummified organs needed for the deceased's immortal body. The jackal, Duamutef, guardian of the stomach, crowns the jar.
