The sketch is attached to heavy card that has a label affixed at the bottom center that reads "AFTERNOON CONCERT IN THE COURTYARD/AT HOSPITAL AT LANGRES/BY E. PEIXOTTO/TRANSFERRED FROM THE WAR DEPARTMENT/2957."
