- Description
- A torch from the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. The torch consists of four parts (a-d). The top portion is constructed of a circle of silver metal spokes that fan out at the top. There is a gold metal band, 2" wide, around the torch where the spokes begin to fan out. The band is engraved with a leaf design and two Atlanta 1996 Olympic logos, a torch with the base made of Olympic rings and the number 100. The bottom portion of the torch is wooden, with a gold ring around the top and bottom. The heating element is inside the torch. There is a metal and plastic piece at the bottom, for joining the top portion with the bottom portion of the torch.
