Pack a Lunch for Super Bowl 50
This tin National Football League lunchbox, manufactured by King Seeley Thermos in 1978, features images of some of the era’s star football players in action: Tony Dorsett, Franco Harris, Gene Upshaw and Pat Haden. The fifth player is an unknown member of the Denver Broncos, one of the teams playing in Super Bowl 50 in San Francisco.
The lunchbox is one of the roughly 6,000 objects in the sports collections of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History that bear witness to the vital place of sports in the nation's history.
