On view are some 800 specimens of the fossil triolobites on loan from the Thomas T. Johnson collection, with examples from many parts of the U.S. These small oval marine arthropods flourished in Paleozoic times, some 500 million to 570 million years ago. Johnson, 34, is a career fossil hunter, who has been a serious collector since the age of 11.
