The first major exhibition of objects from its holdings since the Cooper-Hewitt became the Smithsonian's National Museum of Design, this show includes nearly 400 objects. Drawings and prints, textiles, wallpaper, jewelry, books, furniture, wrought iron, ceramics and glass are shown in five main categories such as Surface Embellishment, Sources of Design, Fun and Fancy, and Patrons and Clients.
