On view to mark Black History Month is a new version of a former show, produced in cooperation with SITES (Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service). The 42 panels trace the life and times of the "Sage of Anacostia" as a slave; in the Abolitionist Movement, through the Civil War and Reconstruction and as an elder statesman.
