Four outstanding women from the turn of the century are featured:

  • Dr. Mary Walker, the only woman surgeon in the Civil War and the only woman to win a Congressional Medal of Honor
  • Adelaide Johnson, sculptress of the Women's movement
  • Helen May Butler, director and organizer of the first ladies' brass band
  • Grace Lincoln Temple, well-known architect and interior designer
