Designed and built for the 15th Venice Architecture Biennale in 2016, The Evidence Room draws upon extensive archival research to recreate incriminating architectural features of Auschwitz that were dismantled and destroyed by the Nazis at the end of WWII. Based on evidence gathered for a libel case brought by British historian David Irving in 2000, The Evidence Room reifies the testimony that proved beyond doubt that Auschwitz was a death camp and, in so doing, established the field of forensic architecture.
