See 18 painted wood icons that form the nucleus of an exhibition that illustrates the stylistic evolution of Ethiopian religious art. Also on view are large processional crosses, crowns, incense burners, finials, and percussion instruments—dating from the 15th century to the present. Includes large color photographs of modern Ethiopia.

Organized by the Peabody Museum, Salem, Mass., from the Langmuir Collection and developed for tour by SITES.
